
Sindh HEC Conducts “AI in Higher Education” Workshop at Salim Habib University Karachi
The Sindh Higher Education Commission successfully organized a two-day practical workshop titled “AI in Higher Education: From Models to Meaningful Practice” at Salim Habib University on 13–14 May 2026.
The workshop was designed for teachers, educators, and new learners from public and private sector universities across Sindh. The sessions focused on practical applications of Artificial Intelligence in higher education, including Generative AI, AI-assisted research, assessment methods, academic writing, ethics, policy, and advanced AI tools.
Distinguished trainers and experts conducted multiple hands-on sessions aimed at empowering educators with modern AI knowledge and practical skills.
During the event, Director General & Secretary Sindh HEC Sindh HEC, Dr. Noman Ahsan, visited the workshop, interacted with participants, and appreciated the initiative for promoting innovation and AI adoption in higher education institutions across Sindh.
The workshop concluded with active participation from faculty members, researchers, and students, highlighting the growing importance of Artificial Intelligence in academia and future learning environments.
