Chairperson Sindh HEC Conducts Session on Higher Education for the Participants of 3rd SMC at TMR Wing

Prof. Dr. S. M. Tariq Rafi (TI), Chairperson, Sindh Higher Education Commission, conducted a comprehensive session on “Higher Education: Issues, Challenges, Policy Options & Sindh’s Higher Education Landscape” at TMR Wing (SGA&CD), Govt. of Sindh for the participants of 3rd Senior Management Course (SMC), on 29.09.2026 at Latif Hall of TMR Wing.

While drawing on his extensive academic and administrative experience, the Chairperson offered senior officers a rare, ground level understanding of the real issues facing higher education in Pakistan, along with practical policy directions, delivered with the clarity and depth that has become the hallmark of his leadership at Sindh HEC.

Sessions like this reflect the Sindh Higher Education Commission’s continued commitment to strengthening public sector capacity in education governance. By equipping senior officers eligible for promotion to top leadership positions with a clear understanding of higher education policy, Sindh HEC is directly contributing to better informed decision making across the province, stronger coordination between government and universities, and ultimately, a more accountable and higher quality higher education system for the people of Sindh.
