COLLABORATION OF RUSSIAN AND PAKISTANI UNIVERSITIES

A consultation meeting between the Russian State atomic energy corporation ‘Rosatom’ and the top brass of Sindh HEC was held on April 28, 2023, to explore cooperation opportunities in the fields of science and education among the leading educational institutions of the two countries.

Chairperson Sindh HEC, Prof. Dr. S. M. Tariq Rafi, and Rosatom’s Counsellor Natalia Kudryashova led the meeting which primarily focused on the possibilities for Pakistani students to receive training in the leading Russian Universities in subjects related to thermo, hydro, and alternative power through inter-university collaboration and train-the-trainer courses.

The meeting was also attended by the vice-chancellors of some Public Sector Engineering and Technology Universities in Sindh who were invited to join the consultation meeting with the Russian delegation.

A follow-up virtual consultation meeting between Natalia Kudryashova and the Sindh HEC is likely to be held soon to further discuss the possible avenues in the field of Renewable Energy, Inter-University Collaboration, Train-the-Trainers Courses, and Scholarships.
