85 Universities QA Professionals trained in Sindh HEC Quality Assurance Workshop at JSMU
Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) of Jinnah Sindh Medical University (JSMU), in collaboration with Sindh Higher Education Commission (Sindh HEC), conducted the second session of a workshop series titled “Devising the Strategic Roadmap for Conducting Review of Institutional Performance Evaluation (RIPE) based on the New QA Framework of HEC.”
The session witnessed the participation of 30 physical participants from Sindh and 55 vitual participants from all over Pakistan, including Sindh, Balochistan, Punjab, Gilgit and KPK. These participants included Quality Assurance professionals and Senior Management from both public and private sector universities across of Pakistan. The primary objective of the event was to discuss the guidelines and requirements prescribed in the new framework.
During the session, Dr. Abdul Wahid Usmani, Director QEC, provided an overview of standards 9 to 16. He stated, “Through interactive discussions and engaging group activities, participants explored the intricacies of the standards, gaining valuable insights. The tasks assigned for the forthcoming closing the loop session in March will foster a collective effort towards continuous improvement in institutional performance.”
Mr. Saleem Uddin, Director of Quality Assurance at the Sindh HEC, praised the workshop series, stating, “This initiative by JSMU-QEC in collaboration with Sindh HEC has played a crucial role in promoting quality assurance practices in higher education institutions. It reflects our dedication to fostering compliance and continuous improvement, ensuring the provision of quality education.”
The whole QEC team of JSMU showcased their commitment by organizing this national-level session. Their collective efforts in providing an interactive and activity-based learning experience were appreciated by all participants.
