Training of Trainers (ToT)

In May 2023, a comprehensive Training of Trainers (ToT) program for the faculty members of public and private sector universities in Sindh was organised by the Sindh HEC, as part of the “Faculty Development Program”.
The program was organised at the DOW University Ojha campus, from May 22 to May 31. Modelled after ToT, this initiative served as a developmental pathway for the university teachers, providing them with valuable opportunities to enhance their skills and explore new avenues in teaching, development, administration, and research.
The primary goal of the program was to empower teachers to improve their teaching and research abilities which could help bring out better results through advanced learning experiences and by adopting practical strategies.
About 50 faculty members from 15 universities, 9 from the private sector and 6 from the public sector universities participated in the program with an aim to train these members to subsequently conduct similar programs at their respective institutions.
Expert resource persons facilitated the program, covering various sessions on policy making, teaching methodology, assessment, communication skills, educational technologies, research, student counseling, executive education, national professional standards for teachers, quality assurance, ethics and professionalism as well as the skills necessary for becoming master trainers.
At the end of the event, certificates were awarded to the successful participants.
